Adobe have taken their iPad apps Voice (a fantastically quick and easy tool for making simple motion graphic videos) and Slate (a tool for creating beautiful web stories) and have combined them into a new desktop app called Adobe Spark.
This is an excellent development; it means that you can get access to these fast and user friendly content creation tools for free, without having to buy an iPad. I’ve found videos created with this tool have got some really good engagement – this one we made at Barnardos got over 40,000 views on Facebook.
With Spark, you can create social media graphics, web stories in a magazine style and simple animated videos. They have built in templates, filters, stock photos and guides; but the real attraction is how easy it is to use – Spark genuinely has some of the best UX I’ve ever seen.
Free to use once you sign up for an Adobe account; paid version gives you extra customisation and features.
