Adobe Spark have an accessible and practical piece on their blog with 13 rules for making better font choices. They focus mostly on typography for social media graphics, but the principles are solid for any typography tasks that you may have.
Except they’ve left one important one out – Comic Sans is a crime; never use it.
By the way, if you’re not familiar with Adobe Spark, it’s a very user-friendly content creation tool. Great for creating simple graphics and videos.
