Something that keeps coming up over and over in the online communities that I’m in, is people getting locked out of their work social media accounts, and desperately looking for help.
Reports of organisations getting locked out of their Twitter, Instagram and especially Facebook accounts seem to have got even more common this year, probably due to remote working and people trying to log in to the same accounts from different locations; plus the social platforms clamping down on duplicate profiles.
Could this be a risk for your organisation? Take this very quick (1 minute) quiz to find out…
Clare O’Donoghue Velikić of ODV Digital and I got chatting about this issue, and commiserating about the amount of time it swallows up on projects. We had the idea to collaborate on a resource to help non-profits clean up their digital accounts.
So we did exactly that, and you can download our new! free! toolkit for managing your digital accounts right now.
The toolkit includes:
- a guide to best practice, including a detailed section on Facebook accounts (Clare has deep expertise in Facebook and has provided a really clear breakdown of the different business tools your organisation needs to use), and a guide to how different platforms handle account access
- an editable checklist of activities for auditing and fixing your digital accounts
- an editable spreadsheet template for recording your organisation’s digital account details
I’d love to hear your feedback on this, and any suggestions for additions – just comment below.
